Shipping Advanced Prototype

Mycroft Mark 1 units will begin shipping in batches on Monday, May 22!
We aim to complete our initial wave of shipments by June 30, yet this schedule is contingent on an entire supply chain, so there may be some delay beyond this goal.
This first version of Mark 1 is an advance prototype, perfectly suitable for developers or enthusiasts, yet it is not ready for the consumer market.
Anyone who expects a fully polished retail level experience should retain their device until February 15, 2018, with the introductory production version of Mycroft Core 18.02.
We have been working for over two years to bring this world an open voice assistant. Our ultimate goal is to have Mycroft powered AI able to run everywhere with abilities matching the level of a human being. To achieve this vision, we are actively building an international community of developers, designers, makers, and partners.

The AI XPRIZE is a global competition challenging teams to develop powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) based applications and demonstrate how humans can collaborate with AIs to tackle the world’s grand challenges.
Team Mycroft is among 100 teams advancing to the next round of the competition. This puts our community one step closer to the $3M prize purse.

Mycroft AI is please to announce that we have selected Backerkit to assist with fulfillment. They will help with user surveys for both Kickstarter and Indiegogo backers as well as streamlining out fulfillment process.

Finally, some good news!
Keeping everyone in the loop, we just got an update today from the board house as they wrap up the main boards.
Message from the production floor
:
We are now finishing the dip process this week. I have sent pictures of this below. It has taken longer than we thought do to so many single pin connectors … 12,000 pcs, 1 x 12 Female Header 3,100 pcs, extended length 2 x 20 straight headers. Now we are in final test and any rework that needs to be done, then packaging and shipping. We expect to ship on or about the 25th of this month.
Main boards
That should get the boards in our hands a couple days later, then we can begin assembling the finished product. Things are getting close!
